Landpower and our CLAAS Harvest Centre network is the largest privately-owned farm machinery distribution network in Australasia, servicing primary producers and agricultural contractors from 32 strategic locations throughout Australia and New Zealand and Australia. Our Melbourne and Christchurch offices co-ordinate wholesale activities and support functions across Australia and New Zealand, and each of our CLAAS Harvest Centres is a regional sales, service and support hub for the complete range of CLAAS and other leading farm machinery brands. Following significant recent growth and our continued ambition to expand the business further, a new role as Accounts Team Leader has become available within our busy, sociable and talented finance team! Key responsibilities in the role will include:

  • Leading the AP/AR function to ensure timely action and standards are achieved
  • Mapping out the process flow and lead further automation of AP and AR activities through process and system improvements.
  • Providing monthly reporting on AP and AR metrics (overdue payments, vendor ageing, overdue debtors, volume of invoices, and other reports as requested).
  • Assisting with the daily cashflow and forecasting for the New Zealand & Australian bank accounts, month-end and year-end processes, bank statement reconciliations and foreign currency transactions.

So what are we looking for..?

  • Experience successfully leading a team with demonstrated coaching, communication, and mentoring skills, with a style that celebrates wins and inspires the team to embrace new opportunities.
  • Hands on experience of AP, AR, month-end, and transactional accounting processes.
  • Experience with an ERP system, even better if you have Pronto experience.
  • Experience with AP automation software such as Redmap.
  • Competent user of Excel to analyse information.
  • A team player who strives to make a positive impact in a business.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

This position is based in our modern offices in Harewood, Christchurch.
