Product Business Manager - Field Technology

What’s the job?
You’ll provide overall product leadership for our premium range of on-board, off- board and precision farming systems and will develop and implement a strategy that ensures the role out of new technology meets supplier requirements, whilst also being feasible for our dealers to adopt. Other key responsibilities include;

  • Managing the relationship with factories and suppliers in Europe (with occasional travel there, too), handling supplier negotiation and providing the latest in-field updates.
  • Assessing product specifications to ensure we have the right technology in place at the right time and price point to satisfy customer demand.
  • Project managing the role out of new technology across the network with a particular focus on change management.
  • Continuously reviewing pricing to ensure optimum profitability and improved market-share.
  • Keeping up to date with competitor activity, particularly surrounding price, product availability and product specifications.
  • Providing national support across our network and customer base to maximise sales.

Who are you?

  • With a passion for farming you’ll be working in agriculture, likely in a product role, you’ll also have a keen interest in technology and precision farming.
  • You enjoy a balance of strategic and operational work and have demonstrated experience managing projects.
  • A natural in front of suppliers and customers you know how to negotiate, manage expectations and collaborate, and take pride in gearing up farmers for success.
  • You are a team player who fronts up and likes to keep growing.
  • You love farming technology and are probably the sort of person who researches the latest developments in GPS self-steering, telematics, yield mapping and machine connectivity, just for fun!
